BARBECUE SAUCE | |
1/4 c. tomato catsup 3 tbsp. cider vinegar 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp. firmly packed brown sugar 1 tsp. minced garlic 1/4 tsp. black pepper Combine catsup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and garlic in a small saucepan and mix well. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring continually until thickened, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in black pepper. This can be made as much as 2 weeks in advance. Just keep in refrigerator. The longer it sets, the stronger it gets. Great for basting meats, chicken, etc. |
