4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 lb. butter (1 stick)
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Grease and flour tube pan - preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat 4 eggs. Add 2 cups sugar and beat again, add 2 cups flour and 2 teaspoons baking powder, mix well. Melt 1/4 pound (1 stick) of butter in 1 cup milk, bring to a slow boil. Pour milk into batter Mix fast, add vanilla and bake for 1 hour.
