1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. butter (or 1/2 c. shortening)
1 c. sugar
Dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook milk and cornstarch until thick; cool. Cream together remaining ingredients, beat until fluffy.
