PECAN PIE 
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. Karo syrup "dark"
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. pecans

Mix all ingredients until smooth. Then stir in pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes.

PIE SHELL:

1 c. flour plus 2 tbsp. flour
6 tbsp. shortening "solid Crisco"

Blend well together then add enough ice water to mix well. Pour on flour board and knead until not sticky. Roll out and put in pie pan. Trim edges.
