PEANUT BUTTER CRUNCH 
2 c. sugar
1 c. white syrup
1/2 c. water
2 c. peanut butter
2 lb. chocolate wafers

Boil sugar, syrup and water until candy thermometer reads hard crack stage.

In bottom of iron skillet spread 2 cups peanut butter. Pour hot syrup into peanut butter, stirring constantly. When peanut butter and hot mixture are combined, immediately turn out on buttered cookie sheet and roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. When cool, break into pieces and dip into melted chocolate. This candy tastes like Fifth Avenues.
