Old Fashion Peanut Butter Roll

This is the original peanut butter rolls recipe. I highly recommend using plenty of powdered sugar on the wax paper. You can't go wrong with a whole box. This will help you contain the hot liquid while kneading in the powered sugar. The stage to get the "6 inch hair" is called "spinning a thread" is between a soft and hard candy stage. Over the years, people have used potatoes, oats and other filler, but this is the best. Very rich. I have even split the "Dough" in half to make smaller rolls.

I cannot wait to try this recipe, my late aunt used to fix this candy but she passed before anyone could get her recipe. Her recipe produced a soft white candy for the roll
