SUGAR PLUM THUMB PRINTS 
2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
4 c. flour
1 c. chopped walnuts
4 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla

1. Cream butter. Add brown sugar

2. Add egg yolks one at a time and continue beating; add vanilla.

3. Add flour and mix well.

4. Roll dough into balls the size of a walnut.

5. Roll balls in unbeaten egg white; roll edge in chopped nuts.

6. Place on slightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 5 minutes at 350 degrees.

7. Remove from oven and press center of each cookie with a teaspoon to make a dent.

8. Return to oven and bake for about 8 minutes, until light brown.

9. Fill center with strawberry jam.
