SAVORY SAUSAGE BAKE | |
1 lb. sausage (half hot Italian, half sweet Italian) 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 1/4 c. chopped celery 2 1/4 c. boiling water 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. uncooked rice (not quick rice) 1/2 c. slivered almonds Crumble sausage, brown and drain. Combine with remaining ingredients except almonds. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add almonds and mix well. Pour into 2 quart greased baking dish. Bake 20 minutes in 375 degree oven. 4 to 5 servings. |
