BEEF TACOS 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef chuck
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce

Salad oil for frying
1 dozen tortillas, either homemade or 1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen, defrosted
2 med. tomatoes, coarsely chopped
2 c. shredded lettuce
1 c. shredded Monterey Jack or sharp cheddar cheese
Bottled taco sauce (optional)

Make filling. Saute chuck with onion in a hot skillet until meat loses red color. Pour off fat. Add remaining filling ingredients; cover and simmer about 10 minutes. Keep warm.
