MAPLE GLAZED NUTS 
1/2 c. maple syrup
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. walnuts (3 c. is lighter)

In an iron skillet, stir together syrup, cinnamon, butter, and salt. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture becomes brown and starts to thicken. (3 to 4 minutes) Add vanilla, then nuts and toss until nuts are covered. Cool on waxed paper.
