LEMON NUT BREAD | |
1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. oil 1 1/2 c. honey 6 eggs Zest of 3 lemons 3 3/4 c. flour 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 c. walnuts TOPPING: 3/4 c. honey Juice of 3 lemons Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter, oil and honey until smooth. Add eggs and zest and mix well. Add flour and baking powder, being careful not to over beat. Stir in walnuts. While baking, warm honey and lemon. Pour over the hot bread. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Makes 2 loaves. |
