DELICIOUS, NUTRITIOUS MEATLOAF | |
2 slices whole wheat bread 1/2 c. milk 1 egg 1-2 shredded onions or dry onion 1 minced clove garlic 1/4 c. wheat germ 1 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. chopped or dry parsley 1/4 tsp. basil 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 lbs. ground beef, beef/pork or beef/sausage mixture Crumble bread into milk. Add all other ingredients except meat. Mix well with fork. Add meat and mix well (hands work best). Shape into letters, symbols or shapes in a 9x13 inch pan. Top with ketchup and paprika. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees making sure that internal temperature is at least 185 degrees when loaf is nearly done. |
