2 c. apples, diced
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. nuts

Combine everything but add egg last. Put in a large pie pan. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees until done. Cut in shape of pie.

BOILED ICING:

2 1/2 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cream
1/2 c. coconut

Cream butter and sugar. Mix in cream and coconut. Spread on cake.
