MARY'S CHOW CHOW 
1 qt. ground onion
1 qt. ground green tomatoes
1 qt. ground cabbage
1 qt. ground green & red peppers

This is 1/2 quart of each. The red peppers are the green ones that have turned red, not hot peppers.

Mix 1/2 cup salt and add ground hot pepper to taste. Mix well.

Mix in a large pot: 2 tbsp. mustard seed 4 c. cider vinegar 1 tbsp. celery seed 2 c. water

Add vegetables and bring to a boil. Simmer 3 minutes and put in jars and seal.
