STEW BEEF & SHELLS | |
1 lb. lean stew beef 1 1/2 c. water 12 oz. tomato paste 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. oregano 1 clove garlic 1 lb. pasta shells 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese 2 tbsp. parsley Brown stew beef in oil. Add salt and pepper to taste. Make a sauce of: water, tomato paste, lemon juice, sugar, oregano and garlic. Pour sauce over meat. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours or cook in pressure cooker for 12 minutes. Serve with cooked pasta shells tossed with Parmesan cheese and parsley. |
