RICE à LA MALTA - SCANDINAVIAN
RICE PUDDING
 
2 dl short grained rice (about 1 cup)
1 - 1½ liters milk (5-6 cups)
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
4-6 oranges
Optional: heavy cream

A traditional Christmas Day dessert. Rice pudding with oranges.

Heat milk to boiling. Add the rice and cook it soft. Add some more milk during cooking.

Peel the oranges. Cut in slices. Place in sugar. Take some slices away for decoration.

Mix the orange slices into the rice pudding. Decorate with some slices.

Served cold.
