KOSHER DILL PICKLES 
7 lb. med. cucumbers
4 tbsp. dill seed
3/4 tsp. instant minced garlic
3 tsp. crushed red pepper
6 thick onion slices
1 qt. vinegar
2 qt. water
1/2 c. salt, pickling

Wash cucumbers and pack into 6 hot sterilized quart jars. In each jar add 2 teaspoons dill seed, 1/8 teaspoon instant garlic, 1/2 teaspoon red pepper and 1 slice onion. Can use up to 1/4 teaspoon garlic per jar for stronger garlic flavor. Bring remaining ingredients to boil and pour into jars, leaving 1/4 head space. Seal at once.
