CHRISTMAS MORNING BRUNCH 
10 slices bread, crusts removed
1/2 stick butter, softened
1 lb. sausage
1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
6 eggs, beaten
2 c. half & half

Spread bread with butter and place buttered side up in greased 13 x 9 inch casserole. Brown sausage, stirring to keep in small pieces. Drain well and spread over bread. Sprinkle cheese over sausage.

In bowl, combine eggs and half & half. Mix well and pour over cheese. Cover and chill overnight.

In morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees and remove casserole from refrigerator to warm up while oven heats. Bake, uncovered, until set, about 45 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
