CHOCOLATE EGGLESS CAKE 
3 c. flour
1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
2 c. water
1 c. shortening
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tsp. vanilla plus 1/2 tsp.
1/2 c. milk
3 tbsp. flour
1 c. powdered sugar

Sift dry ingredients into greased pan you are baking in. Pour in hot water, melted shortening, vinegar and vanilla. Stir and bake at 350 degrees. Make frosting while cake cools. Cook 1/2 cup milk, ad 3 tablespoons flour; cool. Mix butter and 1/2 cup shortening and cooled mixture until smooth and creamy. Add powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla; very good on this cake.
