APPLE PUDDING CAKE 
4 c. chopped apples
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix sugar with apples and add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together. Stir dry ingredients into apple/sugar mixture. Mix in chopped nuts. Bake in a greased 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 tbsp. flour, heaping
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. water

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour and sugars until smooth. Stir in water and vanilla. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick and clear. Pour over warm cake.
