1/2 c. butter
4 beaten eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg
3 or 4 tbsp. buttermilk
1 jigger whiskey (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. white raisins
1 lb. green candied pineapple, chopped
1 1/2 lbs. pecans
1/2 lb. red candied cherries, chopped

Mix together butter and eggs. Sift together flour, soda, allspice, and nuts; save 1/2 cup. Alternate dry ingredients with buttermilk, vanilla, and whiskey, if desired.

Add 1/2 cup flour mixture with white raisins, candied pineapple, pecans, candied cherries. Roll into balls and bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees. This makes an enormous amount. May want to half recipe.
