BREAKFAST APPLE OATMEAL 
1 c. coarsely chopped apple
3 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. old fashioned oatmeal, uncooked
1 egg, beaten
3/4 c. water
2 tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt

1. Saute apples in butter in a 10-12 inch skillet.

2. Combine oats and egg in medium sized bowl. Mix until oats are thoroughly coated. Add oats mixture to apples. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, 3 to 5 minutes or until oats are dry, separated and lightly browned.

3. Add remaining ingredients. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 2 to 3 minutes, or until liquid evaporates.

Makes about 2 cups.
