BOLOGNA SANDWICH
Buy some ham or bologna (one pack) and some bread (one loaf) and buy a little jar of mustard. Then you make yourself a bologna sandwich. Put the bread down on the table, put the bologna on it. Spread the mustard on the bologna. Put another piece of bread on the bologna, then eat it with some milk. Then clean up.

I make my bologna sandwich with fried bologna, light mayo and mustard. Then I lightly spread mayo or butter on each outside piece of the sandwich then toast each side in a skillet. It makes a special taste this way. You will always want it this way.

My children are very young so it might be a while before they're making their own sandwiches but when that time comes!!! This is going on the Fridge:) Maybe my husband will benefit anyway:)

Try smoking bologna on the smoker. We buy small round bologna or the large round bologna and put it on the smoker and amazing never have any left. Just slice it and serve it, dip it in mustard of your choice and eat. Its also delicious by itself.

One other thing (was it just me?) when I was little the first bite of my bologna sandwich stuck to the roof of my mouth and I would pry it loose with my finger and finish eating it. I would eat it just on white bread plain or with mayo but it always stuck to the roof of my mouth.

I think all the bologna recipes listed here are fantastic. Growing up, I had bologna on white bread with mayo, lettuce, cheese and sliced tomatoe with potato chips on the side and glass of milk. I also like bologna cold, or lightly fried on crackers. I either read a comic, watched Sky King, or the Mickey Mouse club 'with' my sandwich:) And I had bologna with crackers tonight. Yummmm

Ever have a poor man's ham salad? grind bologna (1-2 lb), about a cup of pickles, 3 or 4 hard boiled eggs, and in the bowl add enough Miracle Whip to make it a spread and put on your bread or buns for a sandwich. excellent. you can also add about 3 or 4 slices of ham to grind up to give it a extra kick.

This recipe is Not for dieters, but it sure is a nice indulgence. Beef bologna is the best. I laughed when I saw this recipe. It's best with sandwich spread or mayo & relish plus the mustard. My dad loved his with an onion ring or two on it. White bread is the best, but you can fancy it up with rye. My son likes it with peanut butter. A cola & chips and a pickle makes it feel like you're back to the 1960's. :D To make it really seem retro, wrap in wax paper & eat it later at room temperature. My mother in law who is 91 said that lebonan bologna was invented so coal miners & other laborers could eat a preserved meat that kept without refrigeration simply because there wasn't any.
