BOLOGNA SANDWICH
Buy some ham or bologna (one pack) and some bread (one loaf) and buy a little jar of mustard. Then you make yourself a bologna sandwich. Put the bread down on the table, put the bologna on it. Spread the mustard on the bologna. Put another piece of bread on the bologna, then eat it with some milk. Then clean up.

I frequently sub the mustard with mayo or ketchup. Have used mayo and ketchup (Secret Sauce) spread heavily on the same slice of bread. Thru the years I've used a multitude of combinations from the fridge and pantry. Usually determined by the quantity of alcohol involved. A great dish with infinite variables. Break out the bologna' crack another beer with your buddies and let your culinary thoughts run wild. S in AZ

Once a month we have family night at my church.. We have hot dogs and bologna. We fried the bologna, put it on a hamburger bun then they top it off with mustard slaw and some like onion and then chili from my hometown about 100 miles away. We have more people to eat the hot dogs and bologna than we can get to come to church on Sunday. You can not beat a good bologna sandwich.

As for bologna sandwiches... toss the Oscar Mayer (sorry - I grew up in Pa Dutch country) and replace with Seltzer's Lebanon Bologna or Sweet Lebanon Bologna if You prefer (try them both and you won't regret it)... The best mustard I've found is Inglehoff's Stone Ground... all prepared as above on Nature's own Honey Wheat bread. Add a slice or two of aged Swiss cheese for even more variety. SIMPLE AND VERY FLAVORFUL!!!

Until now I thought the tales I'd heard of this culinary delight were just rumors, or more probable, an urban legend. But you've helped clear the fog and added a new option for our household's cuisine. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

You're forgetting lettuce -- place lettuce on bottom bread, then add bologna, and mustard -- the lettuce adds crunch!

I give this recipe 5 stars. I finally got my wife back in the kitchen where she belongs. I had it for 5 nights in a row any other variations she could follow?
