MARY'S WAFFLES 
2 c. flour, sifted
1 3/4 c. milk (buttermilk)
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sugar
Salt
6 tbsp. melted shortening
Egg whites (beat stiff)

Mix all ingredients above fold in the egg white. Cook in waffle iron.
