AMBROSIA CAKE 
3 eggs
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 apple
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. cake flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. hot water

Cream butter and sugar good, add eggs, one at a time, beat well. Add flour gradually while pouring buttermilk, with soda dissolved in buttermilk. Mix cocoa with hot water, add to batter. Add vanilla to taste. Chip apple in small pieces, roll in flour to cover apple (leave enough from batter for this).
