O'HENRY GRANOLA BARS | |
Cream: 2/3 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar Add: 1/2 c. corn syrup 3 tsp. vanilla 4 c. rolled oats Optional ingredients: Toasted almonds Toasted coconut Raisins Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes in a WELL buttered 13 x 9 inch pan. Cut before too cool. Best if not too done as even golden brown gets too hard if fairly soft after baking. Cool COMPLETELY before removing from pan. FROSTING: 1 (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips 2/3 c. peanut butter Melt together. Spread on partly cooled bars. |
