PANCAKE MIX | |
10 c. flour 2 1/2 c. dry milk 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. baking powder 2 tbsp. salt Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Stir together and combine well. Store in airtight container. Label and store in cool, dry place. Should be used in 6 months. Amount: 13 cups mix. FOR PANCAKES: 1 1/2 c. milk 1 egg 1 c. water 3 tbsp. vegetable oil Place pancake mix in medium bowl. Combine slightly beaten egg, water and oil in small bowl. Add egg mixture to pancake mix. May add more water for thinner pancakes. Blend well. Cook on hot griddle. Makes 10 to 12 cakes. ONION RINGS: Dip thinly sliced onions into pancake batter (crisp in ice water). Fry in deep fryer at 375 degrees about 2 minutes. |
