EASY SHORTBREAD BARS 
Use a scale (since is straight from Scotland).

1 lb. butter, melted
18 oz. flour
8 oz. sugar
4 oz. corn starch
1 tbsp. sugar

Preheat oven 325°F.

Blend in flour, sugar and cornstarch into melted butter. Mix, pour into 13x9-inch pan. Pierce with fork over all batter. Sprinkle sugar on top (optional).

Bake at 325°F for 45 minutes until lightly brown on top. Immediately cut into bars, cool and enjoy.
