NATURAL BAKED MACARONI AND
CHEESE
 
1 1/4 c. whole wheat elbow macaroni
1 c. sharp (shredded) Cheddar cheese
2 eggs
1/2 c. cottage cheese
1/2 c. milk
1/8 tsp. paprika
Butter (optional)

1. Cook macaroni until firm-tender.

2. Place eggs, cottage cheese, milk and paprika in blender and process on medium until smooth.

3. Place about 1/3 macaroni in bottom of lightly oiled 1 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/3 of Cheddar cheese. Repeat with 2 more layers of pasta and cheese.

4. Pour blended mixture over macaroni and cheese. Top with wheat germ (optional) and if desired, top with butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
