KENTUCKY CORNBREAD DRESSING | |
3 c. crumbled cornbread 2 c. soft white bread crumbs 1 1/2 c. milk 1/3 c. bacon drippings 1 egg 1 c. chopped onion 3/4 to 1 c. raisins 1 tsp. rubbed sage 1/2 tsp. salt Additional milk (optional) Combine first 9 ingredients in a large mixing bowl; stir well. Add additional milk, if desired, for a moister consistency. Pour into a greased 8 inch square baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until lightly browned. Yield: 6 to 8 servings. |
