KIBBEE 
1 med. onion, chopped finely
2 c. very lean, very fine lamb meat, ground
2 c. cracked wheat, very sm. size
1/4 l. regular lamb meat, ground
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. pine nuts and-or chopped walnuts
1 c. melted butter
1 med. onion, chopped
1 tsp. allspice
Water

LAMB & WHEAT MIXTURE:

Combine lean ground lamb, finely chopped onion, cracked wheat and salt in a food processor, adding water when necessary. (This may e done by hand also.)

PINE NUT & LAMB MIXTURE:

Brown nuts, medium ground lamb and the second onion in butter. Add allspice and salt.

Divide the lamb-wheat mixture in half. taking small amounts, flatten them and line the bottom of a 10 x 13 inch baking pan; then spread the pine nut and lamb mixture over that. Lastly, flatten the remaining lamb-wheat mixture and place on top of the other 2 layers. Make knife cuts in a checked pattern on the top and pour the melted butter over it. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes, then lower the oven to 300 degrees and bake for another 20 to 30 minutes. Brown under the broiler, if needed.
