1 stick soft butter
1/4 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. plain flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13 inch round pizza pan. Blend in medium mixing bowl, the sugars, and butter. Beat on high with the electric mixer until creamy. Add egg and mix until blended. add vanilla and mix until blended. Sift flour, salt, and baking soda; add to mixture and mix until blended. Stir in chocolate chips with a wooden spoon. Spoon dough into baking pan and spread out evenly.

Place in oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven, when cookie is cool. Cut wedges like a pizza or cut into square as desired. Good for gifts, birthdays, or etc. Use icing for inscription. Add nuts if desired.
