APPLE CRISP 
6 to 8 lg. apples, sliced
1 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter

Combine first 5 ingredients. Cook 10 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients, cut in butter. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
