GRANDMA'S WAFFLES 
Plain Waffles:

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
2 eggs, beaten separately
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. melted butter

Sift flour, salt and baking powder into mixing bowl.

Beat yolks well and add milk and beat, adding this to the flour slowly beating until perfectly smooth. Then add melted butter and fold in whites stiffly beaten. Bake on hot irons.

Sour Milk Waffles:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup sour milk
2 eggs
4 tbsp. melted butter

Sift flour, salt, soda and baking powder. Combine egg yolks, melted butter and sour milk. Stir the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth. Fold in stiffly beaten whites. Bake on hot irons.
