3/4 lb. ground chuck (preferred) 1 (10.5 oz) can Cream of Mushroom soup 1 (10.5 oz) can Cream of Chicken soup 1/2 (12 oz) pkg. extra wide egg noodles 1 pkg. onion soup mix 1 1/4 cups water garlic powder celery seed pepper Liquid Smoke (Hickory) No cutting involved! I use 10"x2 1/2" fry pan -brown, drain & return meat to pan. Mix in soups, water & soup mix. Season with garlic powder, pepper, celery seed (great flavor additive) to your taste. Couple splashes of liq. Smoke - (wait on any salt if needed as soups are salty) mix well. Heat till sauce thins out some. Stir in noodles, bring to good boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to good simmer, cover, cook 20 to 30 minutes (till noodles soften to taste and sauce thickens). I let sit 5 minutes. Serve with sides if desired. Serves 4 to 6 depending on appetites and sides. Cost of $5.00 to $6.00 with smart shopping. Make it your way: use rice in place of noodles--put it on bread or toast. Suggested Optional Add-ins: Mushrooms, cheese, sour cream, whole corn, bell pepper, bacon, hot sauce. Use your imagination. Submitted by: BigArky |
