DATE NUT PUDDING 
2 c. brown sugar
3 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. butter

Boil together while making batter.

BATTER:

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. chopped dates
3/4 c. english walnuts
2 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted butter
4 tsp. baking powder

Mix together. Drop by tablespoons into syrup. Do not stir. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with cool whip.
