SELF-RISING BISCUIT MIX | |
5 c. self-rising flour, slightly heaping 1 pkg. yeast 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. water 1 c. buttermilk 3/4 c. oil Dissolve soda in buttermilk. Add yeast and water. Add remaining ingredients. Put in tightly covered container and refrigerate. Pinch off amount of dough needed for one meal and knead on floured board. Shape or cut into biscuits. Bake at 450 degrees for about 15 minutes. The longer the dough stays in refrigerator, the better it is. |
