SEVEN LAYER LETTUCE SALAD 
1/2 med. head lettuce, shredded
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped red or green pepper
3/4 c. chopped sweet onion
1/2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas, drained
1 c. mayonnaise
1 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 c. bacon bits

In oblong glass baking dish, arrange lettuce, celery, peppers, onion and peas in layers. Combine mayonnaise and sugar and spread evenly over peas. Sprinkle with cheese and then with bacon bits. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight. Makes 6 servings.
