AMISH FRIENDSHIP BREAD 
STARTER:

1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 c. milk

Place in 3 quart bowl. Cover and let stand. Do not refrigerate. Day 1, 2, 3 - stir and cover lightly.

DAY 4:

Add: 1 c. milk 1 c. flour

Day 5, 6, 7, 8 - Stir and cover lightly.

Day 9: Add same as day 4 (1 cup each sugar, milk, and flour).

Day 10: Give 1 cup to each of 3 friends or keep 1 cup to start new batch. (1 cup may be frozen to start later.)

To remaining batter add: 3 eggs 2/3 c. oil 1 tsp. nutmeg 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder

May add any (or combination) of the following for variation: 1 cup diced apples or; 1 large can crushed pineapple; or 1 cup raisins (plump by pouring boiling water over, drain); or 1 cup applesauce; or 1 cup any fresh fruits; or 1 cup chopped nuts. Feel free to experiment to suit your taste.

Line 3 regular loaf pans with waxed paper and bake in 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes.

May grease and flour pans.

May use a bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
