LIZ'S CORNBREAD 
2 c. self-rising cornmeal
3/4 c. self-rising flour
5 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. oil
1 egg, beaten
1 3/4 c. milk

Combine milk, egg and shortening; mix well. Combine and mix all other ingredients together. Pour into 9 x 9 1/2 inch greased baking pan. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cook in hot oven for 20 minutes.
