1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 eggs
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
6 raw apples (grated)

Mix together and bake at 350°F until center has set.

TOPPING:

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup cream

Cook until thick, spread on cake. Return to oven until brown.
