INDIAN CORNBREAD 
1/3 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt

Melt butter in large saucepan. Remove from heat, stir in sugar. Add eggs and beat until well blended. Combine buttermilk and soda. Stir into butter; add cornmeal, flour and salt taking care to mix until barely blended.

Pour into greased and floured 8 inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden. Cut into squares. Serve with honey and butter.
