YELLOW CHIFFON CAKE | |
2 eggs, separated 1 1/4 c. sugar 2 1/4 c. flour 3 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. salt 1/3 c. oil 1 c. skim milk 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Beat egg white until frothy. Gradually add 1/2 cup sugar, beat until stiff. Set aside. In large mixing bowl, sift remaining sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Add oil, vanilla and half of milk. Beat 1 minute on medium speed. Add remaining milk and egg yolks. Beat 1 minute longer. Gently fold in egg whites. Bake in ungreased 10 x 4 inch tube pan at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. |
