KENTUCKY JAM CAKE 
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup blackberry jam
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients (except pecans). When batter is smooth and sugar is dissolved, add pecans.

Line the bottom of two (9x9-inch) cake pans with wax paper. Grease and flour sides. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes.

Makes 2 jam cakes.
