LAYERED MEXICAN DIP | |
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans 1 (16 oz.) can bean dip 1 lb. hamburger 1 pkg. taco seasoning (for hamburger) 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded cheddar cheese 1 (16 oz.) carton sour cream 1 (24 oz.) jar taco sauce Lettuce and onion On a big platter or serving tray with at least a small edge, mix the refried beans and bean dip together. The beans are usually too dry and the bean dip is usually too "mushy", so together they're just about right. Spread bean mixture evenly over platter with a rubber spatula or spoon. Next, spread sour cream over beans and pour half of taco sauce over the sour cream. Next layer, browned hamburger mixed with taco seasoning. Top with lettuce, cheese, onion, and remaining taco sauce. Serve warm or cold with your favorite brand of tortilla chips. |
