APPLESAUCE OATMEAL BREAD 
1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 (8 1/2 oz.) can (1 c.) applesauce
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 1/2 c. quick oatmeal
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. walnuts

Sift together dry ingredients; stir in brown sugar. Add eggs, applesauce, and butter, beat well. Add remaining ingredients; beat well. Turn into greased and floured 9 1/2 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Cool on rack. Wrap in foil and store 1 day before slicing.
