AUNT HATTIE'S CUSTARD PIE 
CRUST:

1 c. flour
1/3 plus 1 tbsp. shortening
Pinch salt
3 tbsp. ice water

Add all ingredients, roll so there's no break in pie crust.

FILLING:

3 c. milk
4 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat milk to scalding, beat eggs, add sugar and vanilla. Pour hot milk over mixture. Pour in pie shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
