1 chicken, cut up
1 stick butter
1 pkg. Lipton's onion soup mix
2 c. uncooked rice
2 c. water

Melt butter and spread in a long pyrex dish. Spread rice over the butter and place uncooked chicken pieces over this. Put 2 packages of onion soup mix into 2 cups boiling water and dissolve. Pour over chicken and rice and bake uncovered 45 minutes to 1 hour.
