DEE'S TRIPLE CHOCOLATE BERRY DECADENCE | |
Everyone that I have served this to has loved it and requested seconds. 1 box butter recipe chocolate cake mix (I use Duncan Hines) butter, eggs, etc. (per cake mix directions) 1 jar hot fudge sauce (Smucker's) 1 can prepared strawberry frosting (your favorite) 4 oz. mini semi-sweet chocolate chips fresh strawberries, for garnish Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Add semi-sweet chips and stir into batter. Pour into two prepared 8 or 9-inch pans. Bake as directed on package. Cool cake on wire racks and remove from pans. Put bottom layer on a cake plate and spread room temperature fudge sauce on top. Use about 3/4 of the jar. Put this layer in the refrigerator for 20 minutes or until the fudge sauce firms or sets. Remove from fridge and add a layer of strawberry frosting over fudge sauce. Add top layer and frost with remaining frosting. Slice strawberries and before serving dab fudge sauce to back side of berries and adorn top of cake as desired. Enjoy! Submitted by: Dee |
